Rules
- Each player starts with just 8 men (2 ranks).
- Men move and capture diagonally forward.
- Kings fly, but after a capture must land directly behind the captured piece.
- The short setup makes games extremely quick.
About the game
With only eight men per side, makhos skips the slow build-up entirely — contact begins on move one. The unusual king landing rule (directly behind the captured piece) makes king endgames surprisingly subtle.
